Managing my shifts
I have just finished the 5-step onboarder. Why can't I see my shifts?
After completing the 5-step onboarding, your employer must review your profile. You will get a notification when the review is finished.
Only then can your manager start assigning shifts. Once the roster is published, you can view your current and upcoming shifts directly from the home page.
Additionally, you'll also receive either an email, SMS, or push notification each time you have upcoming shifts or if any of your shifts are changed or cancelled.
For further reading about receiving shift updates by push notifications, refer to your guide here.
How can I ensure I am being considered for shifts?
There are a few things you can do to encourage your managers to keep you in mind when they do their rosters:
- Update your availability regularly
- Ensure your qualifications and compliance documents are current
- Accept any offers available to you
The first two are particularly important because if these do not match the shift specifications, you will not be found in searches.
Where can I see my shifts? What do I do if I can't find my shifts?
Once your manager has published the roster, you will receive a message informing you of your new shifts. These can be viewed directly from the Home page of the Employee App in the 'Upcoming Shifts' section.
If you haven't been rostered any shifts, you will not receive a communication. If this occurs, please contact your manager.
For more information on viewing your shifts, please refer to our article View your shifts & rosters.
What should I do if I'm unable to work my rostered shifts?
Shifts on your Upcoming Roster have been published by your manager, meaning they are your shifts! If you need to cancel a shift, you can:
- Ideally, speak to your manager about the shift.
- Cancel a shift in the app if your business uses this feature.

Can I see who I'll be working with?
If your employer has chosen to use the coworker feature, then you'll be able to view the names of the other employees you'll be working with, provided their shift overlaps with yours. You may also see the shift times depending on what details your employer has chosen to reveal in this feature.

Shift offers
How do I accept a shift offer?
When your employer sends an offer, you will get a notification via SMS or email about the offer.
You can view and respond to the offer directly on the Employee App homepage, where you have the option to accept or decline the shifts.
For the full guide on accepting offers, please refer to our article Accept or Decline Job/Shift Offers.
Why do some offers say 'request' instead of 'accept'?
I have put my hand up for a shift request. Will I see it in my upcoming roster?
If you've shown interest in a shift your manager has offered, it will appear on your upcoming roster in amber. Your manager will notify you of the outcome of these shifts in one of the following ways:
- If the shift has been assigned to you, or
- If the shift has been offered to you, and you've accepted it

Clocking
Why am I receiving a clocking error, 'Unable to find your location' or 'Allow Location Access '?
These issues happen if the app doesn't recognise that you're at your workplace. There are a few reasons why this might happen. For detailed instructions, check out the full guide here.
Why do some employees clock from a phone and some from an iPad?
This depends on the site or business. Some businesses or sites prefer their employees to clock from a central location on an iPad (i.e. from a break room), while other businesses require their employees to work offsite and require them to clock using their mobile device.
If your business uses an iPad, please take a look at this article.
I forgot to clock for my shift. What should I do?
What are submit shifts? Why can't I submit a shift?
Submit Shifts is a timekeeping feature that allows you to add or edit shifts directly, rather than clocking in and out. You can then send these shifts to your manager for approval.
This feature is optional for your employer to enable, and if you are salaried, you won't be able to use it.
